Magnetic particles inspection generally established on specimen magnetization.
If the specimen is cracked on surface or close to it, the magnetic flow will leak through the crack.
To be able to watch the magnetic leak area, we use magnetic particles of 1-20 micron size.
The inspection is quick compare to other inspection methods and portable.
Able to detect imperfections at 6-8mm depth and good for welds, castings and strengthens.
Applicable only on ferromagnetic materials.
